How user SMS consent is stored in your Property Management system
When a user checks the box to agree to receive SMS messages in your website's contact form, their consent is captured and passed to your Facility Management Software (FMS). This ensures that opt-in status is recorded and tied to the tenant’s profile for compliance and messaging purposes.

In StorEdge, the opt-in data is passed as follows:
- The
sms_opt_infield is tied directly to the tenant’s phone number.- If the checkbox is selected, this value is set to TRUE.
- If not selected, it defaults to FALSE.
Additionally, users may also be opted into specific types of communication based on the messaging shown during the opt-in process. These fields may include:
opt_in_to_transactional_smsopt_in_to_marketing_smsopt_in_to_marketing_emails
These values are saved in StorEdge and reflect the user’s preferences for different types of communication.
